It is with a very heavy heart that I am announcing the closure of Village of Hope Las Vegas, effective May 22nd, 2021.  We opened our doors 10 years ago with the purpose of servicing the Whitney Community, in providing a safe, nurturing place where children can grow.  It was our mission to assist these children and families with the resources they needed to be successful in school, at home, in the community; as well as, in their future.   It wasn’t always easy, but with support from the Whitney staff, the community, and the Village of Hope board past and present (Guy Hillyer, Steve Sullivan, Mary Rector, Anastasia Noe, Lori Frame, Lori Wilkinson, Marilyn Sherman, Christopher Cummings, Melissa Roehm, and Julie Causey), we were “the little community center that could”.  I will forever be grateful to each and every one of you for all of your support.  The relationships I have made with you all, the parents, and children will forever be in my heart.  I can only hope and pray I have helped to improve the lives of those I served in the Whitney Community as much as you all have made a difference in my life.  I will forever be grateful.   A special thank you to all of the donors who have embraced us over the all changed lives in ways you may never know but are truly impactful.  Sherrie Gahn, President and Founder
